The project began as a launch shoot for Zakk Wylde’s new amp, created for Wylde Audio and Distortion Inc. Alongside the main product promo piece, the session also generated a long-form artist interview and additional performance-focused material.
creative aPproacH
The visual approach treated the amp as part of Zakk’s identity rather than a standalone gear demo. Product imagery stayed clean and direct, while the broader coverage kept enough grit, proximity and energy to feel credible to both music audiences and equipment brands.
IN MARKET
The final promo piece was used across Zakk Wylde’s Instagram, Wylde Audio’s Instagram and Wylde Audio’s website, giving the content a direct role in the amp’s public launch.
behind the scenes
The shoot took place in a Los Angeles rehearsal studio while Zakk was preparing for tour, giving the production a real working environment instead of a staged set. That access made it possible to capture polished launch material and deeper interview content, later supplemented by the live concert footage.
